SARAH BIGGS-WUDEL is currently studying creative writing at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Before pursuing writing, Sarah was in the book business for eight years as a Store Manager, Analyst, Auditor and Assistant Buyer. Raised in Florida by a Japanese mother and American Father, Sarah's work often includes the mother-daughter, father-daughter and cultural conflicts that arise from growing up half-Japanese in the South. She has won the Wilbur-Gafney Expository Prize for her essay "Dear Connie"--about people who have called her Connie Chung and First Prize in the Mari Sandoz Short Story contest for her story, "Chiyo."
